Permissions

Hey Guys, i need your help!

I have recently been playing around with the permissions plugin for bukkit. I have currently a few levels off rank within the server. These are

Owner: Me, full admin rights (obviously)
Moderator: Most of you guys, nearl all command rights except stuff to do with running the acually server, such as the command "/stop"
Masterbuilding: People with access to world edit tools and spawnable items
Builder: Access to spawnable items:
Civilians: Can build and edit world but have no access to spawnable items, world edit and very few command currently available on the server. Basically anyone new. Its the default rank.

What i need to know guys, is with your expericance of the current help commands, what do you think each class should have access too.

!!!OKAY UPDATE GUYS!!!

I have now got the basics of permissions set up, I also have group chat colours configured, so you can distinguish between player ranks. What I plan on doing now is un-oping everyone, including myself! This will make the system fall back onto the permissions i've setup. This will (or at least should) have absolutely no affect on anyone as of yet. Because as moderators you all will be granted op privledges anyway. I'll be modding this slightly just to take away the dangerous commands which could potentially F up the server.

After this, my next goal is to install a plugin which allows for landowner ship and protection, meaning once you've taken ownership of a plot (buy buying it), only you can build on it it, except the moderators and myself. My plan is to protect everything on the server which has already been built. Also, you'll be able to give people rights on your land to build, lets say if your wanting help editing an existing build.

After this things start to get a little fuzzy in my head. I'd like for currency, the ability to buy and sell things, so eventually you can afford to buy land and build. Which i think is what some of you guys have also been poddering. All this is a long way from been completely, theres all ready a plugin working in the background which assigns value to everything in game.

So please, as you no i'm very much a noob at this. So I will, I repeat, I will fuck up somewhere! Consider yourself beta testing my server, finding all the bugs and problems and then reporting it to me so we can all fine tune it and make it a very fun server for everyone eventually

So I just want to thank everyone for there help on the server so far, you have been very very kind. And i hope you stick with me, as I continue to edit and improve the server.

The class options look good man and when it's all been sorted ill set up a thing on the forum about all the ranks and who is what rank apart from civilian because there will be too many xD and i will also make special ranks on the forum for master builder and above

Civilians and Builders should be very similar. I, personally, want the server to start trying to be survival to a point. But still, builders, if anything, should be able to spawn building materials. Not gold, iron, and diamond. Because these will be the server's main economy currency.

If thats the case, should i band diamond gold and silver for everyone? Including mods?

There really wouldn't be a use for banning it to us. We can spawn the stuff we'd buy anyway. . Oh, while we're on the subject. We need to set up an Admin Shop. Where players and other peeps can buy materials they couldn't normally get.
